Migration Pathways Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who access our Platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, hold, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy.

2. What Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Profile data — age, nationality, country of residence;
  • Education details — qualification level, field of study, Australian qualifications;
  • Work experience — years of experience in Australia and overseas;
  • English proficiency — self-reported English level;
  • Occupation information — ANZSCO code, occupation title;
  • Account data — email address, username (if you create an account);
  • Usage data — pages visited, triage results, device type, IP address, browser type, and referring URLs.

3. How We Collect It

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • Direct input — information you enter into the triage wizard or registration form;
  • Cookies and analytics — automatically collected technical data when you visit the Platform (see Section 9).

4. How We Use It

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide visa pathway assessments and personalised results;
  • Save and display your triage history if you create an account;
  • Improve and develop the Platform's features and accuracy;
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
  • In the future, connect you with MARA-registered migration agents (only with your explicit consent — see Section 5).

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not currently sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating the Platform (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics), under confidentiality obligations;
  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law;
  • Future agent matching feature (placeholder) — if we introduce a feature to connect you with MARA-registered agents, we will obtain your explicit prior consent before sharing your details with any agent.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (Neon cloud PostgreSQL) and is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (TLS). We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Anonymous triage sessions (no account) are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

8. Your Rights — Access & Correction

Under APP 12 and APP 13 of the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading;
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations).

9. Cookies & Analytics

The Platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve user experience and gather analytics. We may use third-party analytics services. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the Platform may not function correctly if you do so.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
